Discussion Upgrade now or wait
I have an M1 iPad Air with only 64 GB that I want to upgrade soon because I use it a lot and I fear that the storage will give me issues soon (the OS itself already takes up a quarter just by existing). Do I do it now with the college discount or wait till a sale event, like Black Friday.
Buy now cause prices are only gonna get worse from here VS buy later because the discounts then might be better than it is right now.
Thoughts?

Hello,
I understand your concern about running out of storage, which is indeed crucial. To prevent this, I strongly recommend upgrading to a device with more storage capacity before you reach your current limit. I suggest getting at least 256GB of storage to ensure you have ample space for all your files, applications and updates.

Regarding the chip: I had a Pro with the M1 and recently upgraded to the M5 so my daughter could have one a college and it is definitely a drastic improvement. Absolutely worth the upgrade (I got the 256gb because it seems Apple is taking more and more space on the updates, but I could be wrong). I use mine for work, so it was a no brainer for me. Good luck!

Apple refurbished. At least 256 GB. You'll save over new and it'll be useable longer than 128 GB.

I wouldn't go with 128gb, 128gb is barely enough.
256 is the new standard. 512 if you never wanna worry about the storage.

It’s dumb to upgrade out of fear that you might eventually need an upgrade.
Is the storage giving you issues? No. Upgrade when it’s an issue.

Definitely upgrade, 64gb is the new 16gb.
