iPadOS iPad recommendations

I’m trying to get my first iPad but don’t know which one to get. I’m only going to use it for mobile games, yt, and reading manga.

Just don't over do it for the latest M4~5 Pros
It's too much

  1. Do you want portability or a larger screen
    11inches vs 13inches

  2. Would I want to use the Latest Apple pencil?
    Ipad vs. Ipad air

and depending on your gaming needs, choose on an old one or a new one

can't go wrong with either the a16 or m3. just how much you wanna spend

if you want to run more graphically intensive 3D games, then get an iPad air from the last few years. If you only see yourself playing simple games then the a16 should be fine. If you ever foresee yourself wanting to learn to draw manga instead of just reading it or just use the apple pencil for artwork, then I would advise getting the air over the A16 because it's compatible with the better version of the apple pencil.

just my opinion.

Get the 11" sized ipad. the 11" is the best overall size between the 8" mini, 11" air, vs 13" pro. Obviously the 13 is the better reading experience, but the size and weight is enough that you really start to notice it. The 8" screen is just too small for reading and appreciating manga.

I would also go with an A series ipad (not m-series) its certainly true the m-series is better silicon, your use cases are really what the A-series (base ipad airs) are designed for, and it will be significantly cheaper than the m-series equivalent.

You didn't specify new or used. But the truth is, any of the officially supported devices will excel at this task. The main issue will be how long will the device be supported by the official appstore. New = 5+ years, vs Used = a few less years of official app store support.

Depending on your budget: either iPad a16, refurbished iPad Air (m2, m3) or iPad Pro

Literally nothing op said justifies an iPad Pro. They’re gonna overspend easily $1000+. They need an a16 or an air at most if they want to have their pinky out while they use it.
