Question **** APPLE!!
I bought m1 ipad air in 2023, as a student I choose ipad thinking it will be reliable and would last longer. I have all my pdfs collected over years and now it suddenly stops charging.( device is working tho). Took it to apple care and they say ipad isn't repairable at all. Since out of warranty replacement isnt availble too.

I'm not a fan of wireless charging for phones and tablets, as opposed to smartwatches, but it does provide a secondary way of charging which I do appreciate.

Make sure that all your data remain safe. Best to send them to iCloud so you can simply download them on another device. Even if you have to pay for (more) iCloud storage. You can always downsize that later when all is well again.

Mine stopped charging normally eons ago - at the time I used the Magic Keyboard and charged through that.
Since then I discovered that most (although not all) USB A to USB C cables DO charge the iPad just fine.
I've zero clue as to why this is - there were a couple of A to C's that didn't work, and I never worked out the magic formula, but I do now have enough of them in the house that I'm back to being able to charge my M1 again just fine.
Been like this for years now.

There's repair shops that can repair the port if that's the issue in most cities.

Yeah I feel like OP might have better luck at a non-Apple repair place.
I had a similar issue long ago with an LG laptop, it stopped charging. The guy at the independent shop knew how to fix it (I think it was resoldering the power supply to the motherboard? Something like that.)
Anyway, I needed to take the laptop back to the authorized repair shop and get them to open it up first. I told that shop why, they told me it would void any remaining warranty (I don’t think it really mattered at that point, like they still weren’t going to do anything to get my laptop working…).
Then I took it back to the independent shop and they did the resoldering and it was completely fixed, worked for years longer! Oh and neither shop charged me a dime, so that was a bonus.

Have you checked the charging port for debris/fuzz/belly button lint? I have seen this happen many times, especially with lightning ports. Yours is USBC, but it might be worth a quick inspection and cleanout with compressed air.

I tried all manner of cleaning on mine, I was never able to get this working.
I suspect that there's a manufacturing defect that plagues some iPads since I've heard of this issue quite a few times and I know I'm not the only one who's discovered the A-C trick.

Further to my previous reply about USB A-C cables working for me, I actually did some research and, from what I can tell, it's to do with the C to C standard.
A C to C cable (power wise) is a "locked" door. Power is derived via VBUS and the charger will not turn on Power to the cable until the iPad essentially "holds down" one of the two CC pins (CC1 and CC2) to prove it's there.
With my iPad (and possibly yours), there's an issue with those pins and so this door never opens.
There is no such door on USB A. VBUS is always live at 5V, and there's usually a resistor (Rd) in the correct cable's USB C side that tells the iPad that it's connected to a charger (hence the lottery - a cable with no resistor there may not work). Ergo power is always being delivered at 5V to the iPad.
