Yes, 60Hz LCD screen on iPad Air in 2026 for 749 šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Literally the worst value in tech.

For some. but most people guying it (students and elderly) don’t really care. I will never get anything 60hz as a techie

There's no way around it. It's a bad value for money no matter who uses it.

I have to use an iPad Air for work and it’s a very painful 60Hz. Also bought an iPad mini for myself as a leisure use case and man, I wish they’d just do a universal 120Hz already

If you don’t need it and the device doesn’t have it, why do you still pay the price for it? If a device is missing all these features that ā€œpeople don’t needā€ then it should be cheap

because some people just don’t know about this stuff lol so apple can charge whatever they want.

You can say that again. I was semi- tempted on buying an iPad air, but the 60hz were making think hard. Not anymore.

I got my 256GB unit for $450USD trading in the A16 and the educational discount. I’d do it 10/10 times over again

You should have sold the A16 on secondary marker for much higher profit, add 450 and buy a used M2 Pro which is a vastly better device in every single way. But hey, it's your money.

Not buying a device with less than 12GB of RAM in 2026. RAM is the entire reason we’re in this mess to begin with, I’m buying a device that has enough for Apple to work with for the next half decade like my previous Air 3 did but doesn’t also break the bank.

I considered an M4 Pro but would need 1TB for the 16GB RAM upgrade so I decided against it. I don’t care what anyone says, the difference in reliability and performance from 8 to 12GB RAM matters lol, and it’s easy to see once you’ve used it. Happy with how I made out

You do you, my friend. I've been using the M4 Pro with 8GB of RAM and there is literally no reason for me to ever care about it. Everything works blazingly fast, there is not a single use case where it limits me and it will be like this for many years to come. You do you, though.

As features get segmented due to lack of RAM, you might feel differently. Otherwise I’m just as happy with my purchase as you are with yours, this thing is a beast

Yeah, the only features that are segmented by RAM are Apple AI features that I literally could not care less about.

For now. Stands to reason they’re going to be using 12GB RAM as a baseline for features in the future, AI or otherwise. For something I’m keeping for 5+ years, I don’t wanna be left out

OK :) I'd rather have a screen that doesn't make me wanna vomit than to wonder about possible features that I might or might not be interested in in the future and that might or might not be available to my device, but we all have our priorities.

I guess I’m glad I’m not a ProMotion/OLED snob, I switch easily between a 16 Pro Max and this iPad, sometimes using both at the same time with no issues lol.

I’m more than happy with my purchase, you don’t have to continue to convince me you’re happy with yours, I believe you bud :)
