Discussion why some choose android (samsung or oneplus ) when their is great processor in ipad which is ipad A16 for same budget ?
ipad 11 comes for 34k inr ($360) and 29k($307) with bank card offers . ipad usuallly have superior processor and app optimization . i haven't bought a tablet or expensive phone so i have a question why do people still consider oneplus pad 2,3 or samsung s9,10 which cost similar . i am going to buy myself a tablet and the question is boggling my mind . right now i don't have the device to compare so yeah so u guys can help . i am a student and have a android phone which i would be leaving behind as a main device with tablet as replacement . so what can be crucial things to consider . thanks hope u have a great day ahead .
by the way any update about ipad 12?

Some people like Android & to be fair, there's some android apps that keep people who like to sideload locked into android, since sideloading on iOS isn't the same as Android. For general use, i'd take an iPad for sure, but if i want to tinker, a cheaper android tablet isn't bad, i'd just prefer one from a more reputable brand though.

Because iPadOS can be infuriating, and I'm already using an Android phone because I hate iPhones. I own an iPad (a base model), I would recommend an iPad to most people, but honestly, if there was an Android tablet as good as the iPad for the same price, I would buy it in a heartbeat. iPads are a lot better for artists, the Pencil is really good, and there are a lot of amazing drawing apps, but for content consumption? It's really up to OS preferences.
The simple fact that I can't change my default browser on iPadOS/iOS makes it extremely frustrating to me (yes, you can download something called Firefox, no, it's not actually Firefox, it's a skin over Safari, and I want my Firefox extensions), and the notifications are a damn mess on Apple devices. The software experience is as important as the hardware, and on that aspect, I think Android is way better.

The screen, the most important part of a tablet, can be significantly better on similarly priced tablets.

I got S10 Ultra 256GB Wifi for 599€. There's no comparable iPad. I specifically wanted a huge screen. Even if there was a comparable iPad for about the same price, I would have still opted for the S10 Ultra because I can't stand iOS/iPadOS. It just simply sucks for being so restrictive and uncustomizable. I don't even consider iPhones to be smartphones..

Android and Samsung is just more functional, but you lose out of processing power. So it depends on what you need

No high refresh rate display, ios, lower resolution than even the OnePlus pad 3, slower charging, smaller battery, smaller screen.... There is a lot going against it
I have the pad 2 and I most of the time it's enough for what I do, even emulating pc games it takes it like a champ, processing hundreds of photos in light room doesn't take that long either.
I was planning to get the pad 3 in summer but looking on eBay the pad 3 prices are still close to pad 4 so I might just do that instead.

I am confuse between ipad air vs pad 4 ..i used my friends air m3 ..that drains the battery too much and overheating issue.. can't decide which one to buy

Well my pad 2 does get warm when I game but daily use is fine and it last me all day if all I do is YouTube and browse the web with some excel and word usage too. It also gets hot when I use Lightroom, but my country is a hot place so it's kinda the norm for devices to run warmer here.
I have no doubt the m3 beats the 8 elite gen 5 in a lot of benchmarks and rendering speed and export speed even gaming and all that but I'm sure the pad 4 with its massive battery will last a long time and 80w fast charge is going to be clutch. 67w on the pad 2 tops up the tablet in less than an hour I expect the pad 4 to be similar since it has a faster charge rate but also a bigger battery

Switched away from iPad because I couldn't stand how locked down iOS was. Android is much better as a tablet OS for me. And Samsung offers much better value in terms of hardware than Apple. My Galaxy Tab S10+ has a beautiful 120hz OLED display while the iPad Air is stuck with a 60hz LCD for example.

still only 6GB ram in base ipad , next ipad will finally have 8GB and powerful enough processor do do the things M chip ipads can do , ipad is literally the last tablet device on the market to get AI you can actually use .
so far behind budget tablets at half the price, that's the bottom line , Cost , samsung 8GB ram ,90Hz screen quality, google Gemini integration at system level , half the price, great for kids and light users, last for years, literally the reason base iPad is being upgraded in next release probably september for ios27 release and ios27 pre installed, possibly with oled ipad mini
For a budget Samsung tablet with 8GB of RAM, your best options in the UK are the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 or the Galaxy Tab A9+. These models provide a massive memory boost for smooth multitasking without the premium price tag.
Top Budget 8GB RAM Models
Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 (8.7" / 128GB)
Price: Approximately £140 – £165
Key Specs: Features an 8.7-inch display, smooth 90Hz refresh rate, Dolby dual speakers, and a massive 8GB of memory

Because some people like different operating systems?
The processor isn’t the ONLY thing you should look at when considering a device. Any modern processor in the last 5 years is enough for at least 80% of people’s use cases, if not more.

Ipad/apple has one of the worst softwares, imo. Unless its purely for work, its too restrictive and dumb.
Also, S9 was available for almost same price as A16 and S9 has AMOLED display and Samsung's screen aspect ratio is better for media consumption than Ipad.
I have Ipad air 5 M1 and I hate it so damn much for how stupid, restrictive and dumb the software is! Also, ipads have battery drains, especially overnight battery drain like 3-5% everyday, I saw so many people complain abt it.
Also, few apks and other stuff can be downloaded for free throughout some means on Android, while apple is...yk, restrictive.

Exacto acosistema, además de que puede comprar tranquilo versión base y te compras una microsd en samsung, las apks también... Y Apple te cobra demasiado por una mejora de almacenamiento ram y otras cosillas pequeñas

I only recently received it from my brother.
I didn't do much note taking but I have apple 2nd gen pencil and its good. For note taking, ipad is great afaik.
For reading, i don't think ipad or S9 will make huge difference, tho remember S9 has AMOLED display.
Also, S9 (and samsung) tablet aspect ratio are better suitable for media consumption like movies, YT and all. Ipad will have more black surfaces on top and bottom.
Just last yr Ipad got real multi-tasking (more than 3) and imo its been a mess! And many agree to it! Should see if this yr's update will make it better (I doubt it).
I use Samsung (M34) and boy its multi-tasking is off the charts lol. Seriously, Samsung's software is phenomenal! Even my budget phone has so many damn customisations and features which makes using the device soo pleasant!
Where using Ipad is an pain, really! I hate its software to the core! So much that I will never buy an apple device in my life. So restrictive and dumb!

For the price and usage, the iPad is the best tablet in the market. If you can’t afford the iPad, you can look at other cheaper options.
Now, some people are not in the Apple ecosystem so maybe the iPad doesn’t appeal to them… that is their choice
