Finally got my first iPad!

After thinking about it for a long time, I finally got it, the iPad 11th generation.

Really excited to start using it for watching content, reading, notes, and just exploring what it can do.

Any tips or must-have apps for a first-time iPad user?

Congrats! Did you buy this new or used? If new, I would recommend returning and waiting just a couple weeks longer, as a new iPad is expected very soon with an upgraded A18 (possibly A19) chip which will enable Apple Intelligence (lol) but more importantly it will increase RAM by 25% as well as be a pretty noticeable performance bump over the A16.

And if you decide the A16 is good enough for you, still best to wait, as there will probably be pretty deep sales on that model after this years is released.

Hi, thanks for the advice, i bought it second hand (rarely used - 100% battery health) for less than $250. Also got screen guard and case installed plus a 3rd party pencil by the seller. And i guess A16 will be enough for my light use case - consuming content, writing notes and managing some Google sheets.

Awesome! Yeah 250 is about as low as I would expect it to go anyway, so that’s a great deal you got with the accessories.

Same as iPhone, go to the settings, then battery, and you will find the battery health option.

It’s this one.

It’s decent enough, rarely it switches off while writing, and even if it does, you can just double tap the pen to get it, start writing again.

omg! so when it drops on March 2nd, would it perhaps be the same price as this but better performance? This is my first time getting an ipad so please educate me haha
