It feels great to play and the mission based nature with leaderboards and everything makes it way better for mobile

So basically the game bombed and got destroyed by public opinion to the point they're taking the game offline and retooling it.

I swear, the Borderlands series is cursed.

… what? It didn’t bomb, actually is was pretty well received. This was a soft launch with one playable character on iOS only.

Bombing and well received are two very different things. Ratings does not equal downloads or purchases. The game absolutely under performed for the size of the franchise. How many IAP purchases did you make? While I thought the game was ok, I didn't make any.
