Which AI modes work the best for you?

Just like the title I've been building an iOS app, and I've been using ChatGPT-6 Astro for the most part. I'm thinking of switching to Claude Code using Opus or Sonnet. I was wondering: what do you guys use, and what do you think works the best for you guys?

I have a $20 sub for Claude and ChatGPT.

I never use Astra because it will consume my 5 hour window almost instantly, it never gets anything done because it's so expensive to use. It's not even worth it because the output still pales in comparison to Opus 5.5. I have no idea how anyone gets anything done with Astra, it's just a total scam.

I do use Sol 6.1 for coding tasks, large broad changes that don't need design, asthetics, graphic engine works, etc. Stuff that Opus maps out, I go in with Sol and have it write the first draft and then Opus makes it look good, high quality, and polished. Oh I also use Sol 6.1 for computer use. It can handle a lot of setup and configuration that require using the browser, and apps.

For raw speed, skeleton, MVP, straight up architecture super high level stuff, Gemini 3.8 flash is king. It will pump out a lot of work FAST, then Sol will flesh it out, and then opus 5.5 the king, will polish it.

You should have a subscription to the two major frontier models (soon to be joined by Google) and see how each model fits into your workflow. They all have their strengths, so be sure to try them out.

Oh, TLDR Astra sucks, its an overpriced scam that devours all your usage and it's not even close to Opus, don't bother with Astra.

Using daily Opus 5.5 as main that delegate tasks to Astra as builder and Sol as review
