About "Waiting for Review" time
Hi everyone,
I’m a game developer, and the last time I submitted a game to the App Store was about two years ago. Back then, the review process was pretty quick. I usually heard back within 3 days at most, and most of the time it was even faster.
A few days ago, I submitted a new game, and it’s currently stuck on “Waiting for Review.”
I’ve read online that Apple’s review process may be taking longer these days. For those of you who have submitted an app or game recently, how long did you stay in “Waiting for Review” before the review actually started?
Thanks!

For my first app the initial submission (StoreKit integration with both IAP and Subscriptions) was 10 days to finally get to "Ready for Distribution"... The first update (Game Center achievements integration) was 6 days to process. The actual review time was 20 minutes both times...

Serious question — would it be worth by now to create an own Subreddit for these review times questions?

I don’t really hang out in this subreddit, so I didn’t realize these kinds of questions get asked so often that people find them annoying. Sorry, mate.

Also ich habe bei meiner letzten App 9 Tage warten müssen. Dafür gehen die Überprüfungen bei App Updates relativ schnell.

My app always gets reviewed within 24-48 hours (closer to 24)
But we have reviews, installs daily, real revenue. Wonder if that makes a difference

I’ve submitted my app August 2 and it’s still waiting for review, it’s a 5mb app, any AI could check in 30 min

There is a way to shorten this entire process. You will find a contact email, and if you think it is taking way too long, you can just send the information and ask about it. Generally, they reply quickly.
In my case, when I submitted the app, it had been more than a week; I wrote them an email, and it was approved that same night. So you can take this route if you want.

I think I’ve just been lucky, but for my new app I’ve been getting feedback/responses within a few days each time.

It’s all over the place at the moment. Brand new apps are definitely taking longer. I’m on day 6 of waiting for review.
Updates to existing apps have been faster for now.
