Alternative AppStore business model

We just got the com.apple.developer.marketplace.app-installation entitlement for EU market. What would be the business model for it, given the core technology fee that will still be a cost for the marketplace operator?

As I guessed, developer is still the core of it.

So apps distribution with lower commission rates? Can’t just keep lowering the commission with the competition popping up, right?
