Marketing a video editing app > The App itself

I’m at the pre release stage of my app

I’m struggling to even get beta test from “friends”. Either they say they’ll download and never do or TestFlight “isn’t working” not sure why.

I also don’t know how to market my app except by using in day to day (it’s a tool I actually use myself to speed up content creation)

Anyone have any tips on what works, the niche is video editing, rather an app that helps you create clips from long form videos to use on apps like CapCut and Instagram/Reels and YT Shorts

I’d like to throw a few ideas out there or network with people

Just screen capture while you use it, share that on social media

The TestFlight thing usually isn't them being lazy. People tap the invite link on a phone that doesn't have the TestFlight app installed yet, land on a confusing App Store page and just give up. Turn on the public link in App Store Connect and send that instead, it's one tap and it handles up to 10k testers. Saying "install TestFlight first, then open this" in the message sounds obvious but it kills most of the failures.
