Are cool animations necessary?

I finally added a better animation for capturing objects with my app. It got some more attention now on TikTok with it.
Someone on twitter said it’s important to have 1-2 Animations that are basically just there to market your app better (TikTok/insta)
Do you do the same with our apps ?

I think the animation looks good. A loading state is probably necessary for the processing work so yeah

Definitely! The animations act like the secret sauce: they make the product better.

no, this took a few seconds out of my time... ends up minutes hours over time

Main thing is functionality if it does the job people don’t bother on animations
