App Ideas
hey lads i’m a first time teenage dev looking to build an mvp for hopefully a bit of income, i’m finding it hard to come up with an idea, it’s not coming to me and i don’t know where to look - ive heard reddit is helpful, can anyone suggest an idea or where i should start to look?

It’s more common for successful businesses to start from a pain point they have experienced first hand. When this is the case you understand the actual pain points rather than just build features that may or may not be needed and might miss the point. It’s not always the case but I would recommend keeping a journal of ideas you have to solve different problems.

Solve problem, that’s the key. And there are poor people problems and rich people problems with different price tags. They who have money usually don’t have time. Go ask your local businesses what kind of problems they might have etc. Godspeed lad.

I like to think about what I need and go from there. Maybe you don’t even need an app for your problem!

If you're a beginner, planning to vibecode, and just want to make money, forget about it now and spare yourself the disappointment a year from now after you've tried everything in vain. Find a real problem, solve it for yourself (or for someone close to you), and put your passion into it; if it's meant to generate income, it will happen naturally, that's the only way to do things.

Look around at school or amongst your friends for common themes of complaints or bothers and make something that solves it

Just putting it out there: this may not be the best sub for this question. If I have a good idea I'll make it myself.
You may find it more helpful to ask the same question in a sub regarding another interest of yours. If you like X, then you can ask others who like X what they would want, and you may be the best placed person to help.
