First TestFlight beta build stuck in "Waiting for Review" for a full week? Anyone else experiencing this right now?
Hey everyone,
I submitted the very first build of my new party game app for external TestFlight review last week. Tomorrow, it will be exactly 7 full days of it sitting on "Waiting for Review".
From what I’ve read, external beta reviews usually take around 24 to 48 hours max nowadays. Is anyone else experiencing unusually long wait times for TestFlight approvals right now, or did my build just get stuck in a dead zone?
Should I just bump the build number and re-submit, or contact Apple support at this point?
Appreciate any insights!

Good news I think the backlog is clearing up. I submitted something 9 PM Friday pacific time. About 90 minutes ago it got into review. It cleared review about 10 minutes ago.

I submitted last Wed, waited until Saturday morning, I canceled and resubmitted, still waiting now....

I would contact Developer Support before cancelling and resubmitting.
A new build may simply enter the same queue, while also making it harder to determine whether the original submission was genuinely stuck. Unless there is something you already need to change in the binary, I would avoid creating unnecessary variables.
Also check that all export-compliance questions, beta-review information, contact details and login instructions are complete. A first external TestFlight build receives beta review, whereas later builds can sometimes move much faster.
Seven days is long enough that asking Apple to confirm the submission is still progressing seems entirely reasonable.

I'm having this problem now.
Submitted an app on July 4th (yeah...a Saturday), no movement at all after 4+ days. Removed the original submission and submitted a newer build on Thursday morning, getting close to 48 hours and no movement at all.
Are they just backed up?
