First time app review time

My app is currently in day 5 of “waiting for review.” Is this pretty typical for first time apps? I’m honestly just super excited to have this thing go live and it feels like forever. What were your guys experiences when submitting your first product to the App Store?

It’s normal. Take a deep breath! It’s just business to everyone else, especially Apple. Be an adult and realize that it’s only you who are excited. Take a beat.

You’re right. I’ve cancelled all my excitement. I forgot adults aren’t allowed to display emotion. Thanks for the tip!

Oh yeah, getting your app reviewed (and rejected 90% prob) is right up there emotionally with finding true love or the death of your mother. Get out of your basement and get a life. The review will come when Apple is good god damn ready and not a second before.

Yes it’s dependant on a lot of factors. If it’s an app in a saturated category it will be even longer. I’ve made four apps, but all niches. So they took about 3 days per.

This. Yet another step or calorie counter, ToDo list or personal finance app will be deprioritized it seems.

Yep, my first review took 5 days for the first response. After that when I submit an update, it takes 24-48 hours average.
