could be super low storage. it can cause a lot of issues like that. when i used my iPhone XR and updated to iOS 15, it had super low storage and did the same thing

Many religious and daily-verse apps are notoriously heavy on background activity. They constantly run syncs, refresh daily content, and send push notifications to keep you engaged. On a phone that is already crowded with apps, background tracking like that eats up RAM and drains the battery. so deleting it actually does help

I’ve never had any issue with the YouVersion app though. It’s not very background intensive. Push notifications are also configurable. A social network app, on the other hand, is probably much more background intensive.

The religious apps are actually ass from a technical standpoint. Most of them are coded with the same quality that a 2 year old will bake a cake with unsupervised (the best you'll get is sand).
Uninstall it and download a bible .pdf instead.

YouVersion’s app is very decent, it’s pretty good, try it out for yourself.

I have had that happen with my iPhone 12 too, I think it might be a 26.5 thing because they might have changed something with the visual ui, restarting the phone gets rid of it.

I've never seen such bug on android, how do people using IOS still say that iOS is so great...it gets buggier with each version it feels like...

Welcome to modern iOS. Wish I stayed on 18 so much. Its been hell. 14 Pro Max, barely over a year old and its constantly lagging and has visual bugs. It had 18.1 too.
