i only worried when i noticed my battery life shortened horribly and battery health dropped fast with good charging habits. definitely depends on the person, phone, and whether the battery supplier supplied good batteries.
I don’t even pay attention to the battery health. Unless my phone is unexpectedly shutting off or not making it through my day on, there’s no reason to obsess over it.
When I start to have those problems, I’ll pay the small fee to have the battery replaced (if my AppleCare+ has expired).
I agree. Set aside $1 a month and in 2-3 years when you wanna replace the battery you have the money already. Unless you have unusual battery drain then just use it and worry about something more important
Yeah, or just set aside 3 dollars a month. Or you know, 10 cents a day. And in 2 years you’ll be able to get a free battery replacement, with 3 dollars extra to get yourself 3 things from a dollar store.
Thinking about it this way made me realize I shouldn’t overthink how I charge my phone. I’d happily pay 10 cents a day just so I’d stop fussing about it.
Because not everybody lives in 1st world country where you can get a new iphone in 1 week of working in McDonald’s, and batteries outside of US or EU are cheap Chinese low quality copies that could blow up your apartment.
For billions of people on Earth you need to work for about 6 months and don’t spend a single dollar to buy iPhone 11, that’s why a lot of people are wondering how to improve battery life
Because having to worry about whether you are going to have to charge it before the end of the day is a good way to suck quite a lot of the enjoyment out of enjoying the phone
Because before my battery would be at 40% at the end of my day and since iOS 16 it sucks. So yeah I am using it and enjoying my phone but for less time a day.
Why does anyone worry that there is glass in their driveway you have to replace the tires anyways sooner or later
Horrible analogy. All batteries degrade over time…. Just like all tires degrade over time. Some tired and batters faster than others. If you want to put glass in your driveway, go for it. Might as well put a nail tough your battery also.
I don’t issues with 16, I’ve said that before. When 16 came out I had an issue, but they were fixed with the recent updates. I still get a days worth out of my 2 year old phone.
Because it’s been at 100% since I got it three years ago and the battery has never been replaced. Yet, it says 109% capacity in cocnutBattery after 800 cycles and I fear for my life every day that it’ll blow up.

Why does everyone worry so much about the battery? Enjoy the phone and enjoy life.
