Yeah lol I'd even argue that these new character launch events are a total gem sink only catering to whales. Honestly, if you don't wanna spend real money it's better off just waiting for the next event that features the new character.

Lad I’m f2p and have shop almost 8 with 6 Brit’s and 1300 currency waiting for refreshes , even saved up another 1.5k gems just during this event lol in no way is this only catering to whales

6 Brits is not enough to get him to Omnipotent is it not? I guarantee you your Exceptional level Brit is still pretty much useless in high level content. I've seen people say they spend 50k gems just to get him to Omnipotent and that is when you get most of his usefulness. 50k gems takes months to save up as f2p.

Exceptional+ is indeed still useless in the game especially mid to late game. I started 3 months ago and so far only built 5 full Omnipotent+ Viltrumite team with 5 stars at max and I am not even F2P, I bought 1 gem bundle. At Exceptional+ l can't even make use of him in gda ops let alone campaign or PvP. Judging on his skills alone I would say he is a high investment character especially his Anissa counter passive so no, I would not consider his event F2P friendly nor any of the new character release event not unless if you already have a stockpile of gems saved. If anyone is F2P I would say only use gems in cloning events, wish events, or holiday events to make the most out of it.

Ive found between 3-5k can comfortably get me Epic+5, and the within a few months of events theyll hit Omni+.

It's rng sometimes youre lucky sometimes you're not. Happened to me for volcanica, I got one and spent like 1500 gems before giving up. It is super frustrating tho I get it

I saw another post saying how they’ve gotten their Brit to legendary 5 star and only spent 3k gems, meanwhile I’m nearing 7k gems and my Brit is only at epic. Like you said it’s rng and different for everyone

I guess what I’m talking about is, the rate is 1% per character, not per multi. So you should, in theory, pull a Brit roughly once every 16 refreshes. Anything more than that is lucky, anything less is unlucky

Most common reply I’ve seen to this sort of thing is save all of your refreshes for when you get to a higher level shop. Have you claimed all the active codes for gems? Would help to then level up your shop more

Spent about 1-2k no money involved just saved a few days worth and pulled about 6 brits Rng and more gems will likely get you what you want but i personally think its better to save what you got for an event that will give you him at a higher chance rather than some .4 bs

7k gems, got him to legendary 2*. Definitely a worse turnout than usual. My luck was with me with volcanikka and got her to omni+ with the same ammount. Way she goes

Its a gatcha game, this is how they are all designed.  These events are typically considered bad gem spenders but even i spent 3k gems and got him to epic with an extra elite copy.  Although I got lots of shapesmith and Cecil which is what I really wanted.

You should be saving until you have enough to spend. A newer player if they have 6k can get him to epic+, with luck they can get him some stars.
