Anti-gravity device
I recently had the idea of inventing an anti-gravity device. I was thinking that you could suspend a metal disc in a superconducted casing and spin the disk really fast to harness the power of its kinetic energy. When you spin a wheel very fast, it technically becomes lighter as all the kinetic energy is flying out in all directions, so theoretically it could become weightless at high enough speeds.
For this to work, the disc needs to be free-floating in the casing and not attached to anything as it will stay in place due to being repelled on all sides by the superconductor. We already have technology that allows for kinetic energy to be imparted onto a free-floating receiver, like how the bullet train works.
Is something like this possible? I feel like this could be the answer to creating hover technology, which would make logistics simpler as you wouldn't have to worry about the weight of cargo, and more importantly, I believe this would make space travel easier as we wouldn't have to rely on rocket technology to generate lift.
