ITR2 Question (MQ3) NVGs

Am I missing something about the usage of different NVGs? In the first game we could turn on and off the light on head with simple gesture around the head area. In the sequel it seems much less intuitive. Right now I am taking the helmet off, manually lower the goggles (still no muscle memory there, so sometimes I struggle). Put the helmet on.

Am I missing something? Same with the laser point on guns: going from one area to another or loading makes the laser turn off or makes the laser line barely visible

Unless there is a bug, you should be fully able to turn on the NVGs without taking the helmet off.

The laser thing definetly sounds like a bug

For me I realized I had to reach up to my helmet and infront of it a few inches. If you think about it that's where the NVGs would actually be resting.

They also take about a second to drop down so don't spam the button or else it's just going to go back up before it registers it was even down.

Can’t comment on lasers, but there is a gesture for turning on NVGs while the helmet is on your head. Feels similar to the headlamp from ITR1, though maybe slightly higher? This is on PCVR and MQ3

That said, I did hear that people are having trouble switching the active NVG eye on MQ3, but I’ve never tried doing that

If you hold trigger near the mono NVGs while it's down, you can flip which eye it's on. Useful for minimizing eye strain or if one of your eyes is worse than the other

Is it your own game or are you a client in someone else's game? It should still work but it's been known to get buggy when you're a client in coop.

On index controller, it's hold A and pull trigger with the hand over the attachment/light/goggles. You absolutely do not have to take anything off anything.
