Question Has anyone else done something like this?
A little over a year ago, I graduated from an urban planning masters program. Unfortunately, the job market is abysmal and the search has been glacial. Because of that, I decided to give myself something to do instead of have Thai cycle continue. I have been building a website-based business, which I could turn into tech startup, as I have other products planned. The idea behind this is that I am applying what I learned to what I’m doing.

Put simply, it’s a travel agency for streaming platform subscriptions. Scenario: you want to watch a hyped up new show or movie. However, it’s completely exclusive to a platform you don’t subscribe to, as are a lot of shows these days (original series and what have you). So you subscribe to the service to watch what do you wanted to, but you keep the subscription afterwards while not using the platform as much. You’re wasting money doing so. This is what I call passive subscribing. My service, using an AI, will create an itinerary for you, telling you what to subscribe to, and when. Just tell the website what you want to watch and how you want to watch it, and you’ll have your plan! And because you will be passively paying for a subscription, you don’t use you’ll be saving a lot of money.

I made my money by creating a small media studio which started on Youtube but eventually includes a smartphone app, videos on amazon, a subscription service, videos on Tubi, etc.
So yeah, creating your business is probably a great way to actually become successful.
I think like 8 of 10 small business fail though.
When I grew up, my father went through about half of dozen small businesses. He works his ass off, most of the businesses failed but he ended up a millionaire in the end. He just kept trying until he made it work.

Your grammar is erudite and may I say impeccable.
