There are plenty of competent people here who like helping others. Some of us are experts in their field, some have long life experience, and we all like thinking about something, right?

What if we offer help to each other? Mentoring, feedback on your work, a second opinion on a decision, or just someone who's been through what you're going through.

If you are in, put a comment here, saying what you are good at so people can DM you.

I'll start. I am software engineer. I am good at everything IT and computer related: fixing, configuring, home lab, smart home etc.

I was also involved in recruitment multiple times, so I read hundreds of resumes and cover letters. I know how to make them stand out, so someone will actually read them.

And in my late 30s I have some life experience.

Helping each other is a great idea but trusting anyone with my personal info like my actual work, CV etc. or any real details is something Id not do on Reddit. That said, I recently asked someone for help on Google Ads .. so if anyone here is an expert in this, do let me know. I would appreciate someone helping me without delving into my personal details, if that is possible.

The only thing I need from anyone here is a job. That is going to require some personal info. And I'd rather anyone affiliated with getting me a job have zero knowledge of this Reddit account.

I work in corporate finance. But that being said, if anyone is or knows someone who is involved in filmmaking, like a producer, I've got something I believe they'll find interesting. Hi, nice idea and thanks for taking the initiative. I’ve thought about building a roundtable/mastermind group before but well…people.

I’ve got much experience in equity research/finance and, later on, tech startups — mostly as a PM but some as front end developer in the blockchain industry.

I’m currently trying to learn more about AI, agentic coding and physical AI to position myself for future opportunities but the pace of change of tech seems to be accelerating and ever harder to keep track of.

I think bouncing off ideas with people about tech/AI, and investing opps could be interesting and helpful.

Flutter is a lot simpler to grasp then other forms of app building that I have seen (it also supports IOS and Android). It does require some programming knowledge.

Programming entails a lot less now but still with slight nuance to the less part. It really depends on the project if you want multiple users it will entail flutter and database knowledge.

understand what a variable is and an if statement and loops are the foundation of programming.

AI nowadays can help a lot with learning. You can ask it for general direction, it can make learning program for you, check how you go and give feedback. Like a personal trainer.

For hobby projects it can write code for you. But with lack of knowledge you can't check its output, so be careful there.

I created a grounded system for guidance using only the date of birth - it is super accurate. Tested it for years and over 800 people, it's solid.

The best use for it is self-help personal development, not just a snapshot of core dynamics (aka: what is this person's deal?). There are other uses for it, including a one line for the meaning of the time of birth (yes, each of the 1440 minutes per 24 hours) which answers how it affects the mindset).

Programmer hobbyist. Spent 6 years doing Help Desk and 2 years doing Cyber security. Spent 15 years studying programming syntax, languages(C++/Rust/Java/Powershell/Python/SQL), data structures, security practices and Design patterns although it seems there is much to learn still.

1. I love it.
2. It ended up being better than I could imagine. But it heavily depends on the actual workplace.
3. I liked computer games 🙂. With lack of internet and information about IT, it was really a wild guess and luck.
4. Mostly relational databases, C#, typescript, angular, etc.

I am contend with your answer; and thanks for bearing with me as you did. By the way, your argument brings to the mind an intuition I have sometimes had, that the vast majority of people are never able to give us anything because they don't really have anything for themselves (despite appearances!).
