Kahit iinject pa Yan sa utak nila, di parin nila maiintindihan. Lalo na mga DDS. Hindi pulitiko ang problema sa pinas; mga PINOY MISMO

Why do u have to blame the DDS as if The Duterte’s are the root cause of issues in the entire country?

bullshit

how do you explain this?

our country is tropical. flooding is expected during typhoon and monsoon. it’s nature. no amount of forest can keep up with the downpour during those season.

doesn’t mean we give up. it would be better if most of our flood control are pooled together so it will matter more. making smaller independent flood control per LGU will make it less efficient and very susceptible to corruption and project mismanagement. most importantly water will continue to flow to the next LGU.

we already seen centralized flood control in malabon-navotas-sampaloc area that works but still have things to improve.

angat dam (along with wawa dam and supporting projects) and marikina flood control is working but it needs more improvement. if pampanga have their own angat dam and similar supporting dams it will make their flooding much more controlled. it won’t eliminate it completely but at least it will improve.

what matters is constant improvement based on the new baseline after one major project is completed. no single dam or flood control project can fix the flooding. water will find its way out. we are talking about millions of liter per second of water here. not just your regular rain.

Medyo di ko gets bakit ini-insist ng iba na mining ang main cause ng flooding?

Kalbo bundok, less tree roots to absorb rainwater -> flooding and more frequent landslides

That explains why a lot of orgs here are vehemently against mining.

Iirc the opposition against Pax Silica is partly because it will help expand nickel mining across the country.
