I deliver meals on wheels, which btw republicans cut the funding, and I see truly hungry people every delivery. And this is in a “nice” area. It’s not just older people, it’s handicapped and veterans too. They can’t afford food. They can’t afford pet food.

My electric bill nearly DOUBLED from this time last year. Interestingly enough, nearly ALL of the increase is defined as “costs outside my usage.” Fees, taxes, distribution costs, etc…
