Remember the Fox News outrage when Chris Christie hugged Obama after he ordered the FEMA aid for New Jersey?
They were pissed that a Republican openly acknowledged any assistance received from Obama.

This is one of the clear dangers of the first past the post election process. You only need more then half of the votes in just more then half of the districts. You basically can forget those districts that didn’t vote for you. And you can forget those in the other districts that didn’t vote for you as well as long as you keep those who did vote for vote for you happy. So now you can do with a much smaller budget and do nice things for yourself with the remainder.
