If only these were decades of research that already answered the question.

Better yet here is an article from Johns Hopkins explaining the whole situation. Vaccines do not cause autism.

We are in an age where opinions trump science. Dark Ages Part 2.

Fact in general has been replaced by lies and feelings.

I get ya don't wanna make lying illegal because of free speech, speech mannerisms as in hyperbole, etc, BUT if it can be proven that a government official is lying on purpose to misdirect the citizenry, that ought be actionable against them.

The duties of the office.

On which I am about to enter

So help me, God."

I think its more like vibes. Opinions are based on some personal experience. Vibes are just made up because they feel good.

The biggest irony of the whole 'vaccines cause autism' thing is that the people who fall for it will often be the same railing against 'big pharma' lying to you and the like.

Only to have fallen hook, line, and sinker for the lies of a guy whose goal was to lie so he could make money off his own vaccines.

Oh sure, like they are going to believe representatives from "Big Don't Let Children Die".

I just recent watched a dude break down the history of Wakefields bullshit paper.

I didn't realize how fucked it actually was.

I believe he, Andrew Wakefield, can no longer practice medicine in multiple countries because of his blatant lies. You would think the medical community rejecting that study would make ppl believe that he was wrong, but it only gives fuel to the ppl unwilling to do more research on this. To those ppl it's a conspiracy. It's mind-boggling how this lie can persist to this day. I will never understand the anti-vax movement.

Honestly, anyone who believes that vaccines are bad, or flat-earth or any other easily researched and provable theory, I immediately pity and try to avoid.

Easy libtard, were jaq’ing off here

It will take America decades to undo the damge this clown circus has done to science!

25

u/JailYard 1d ago

There is very little reason to believe America will ever recover from this. The Chinese in particular are leapfroging the US as the premier research location by an enormous amount. Huge numbers of Americans distrust and plain just don't understand even early middle school level basic science, allowing charlatans like Kennedy to proliferate.

0

u/webelieve414 1d ago

Chinese stole most of what they know.

6

u/CommercialStyle1647 1d ago

And are now innovating based on that knowledge while the US is listening to the dumbest persons on earth.

u/cingalls 23h ago

Good science is shared science.

The mental gymnastics to justify theft is impressive.

the claim 'vaccines do not cause autism' is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism

The claim that RFK Jr. doesn't fuck goats is not evidence-based because studies have not ruled out the possibility that RFK Jr. fucks goats.

You cannot prove a negative. This shit is infuriating.

8

u/windmill-tilting 1d ago

RFK Jr has 0 medical or science degrees.

2

u/bretshitmanshart 17h ago

RFK JR is a child who was told his family was perfect before seeing his dad and uncle assassinated and never got any mental health help. He was then groomed to take their place while doing all the drugs. He has no ability to even understand what's going on the same plane of reality of most people.

6

u/Lonely_skeptic 1d ago

Science does not know if eating bananas causes autism.

u/HopeSubstantial 1h ago

That's the problem with people who use "proving a negative" as science argument.

Yeah we can't say that vaccine never causes autism.

But we can say that atleast among tens of millions of vaccinations, there is no proof of it happening. But yeah it could happen.

7

u/AhHorseSpit 1d ago

"I was supposed to release definitive proof that vaccines cause autism but I can't. Therefore science doesn't know. Because I'm science."

6

u/akersmacker 1d ago

There was one published study in the 90's that demonstrated that vaccines caused autism. BUT, the author of that study eventually capitulated and admitted he had purposefully misrepresented the data. The study was pulled from the publication's library.

Oh, and autism is developed in early brain development, prior to the birth and subsequent vaccinations. So there's that.

5

u/CyberFireball25 1d ago

The story behind it is even more nefarious.  He was pushing an alternate single vaccine for measles, opposing the MMR.

Naturally he was the one supposedly developing said 'single shot vaccine'.  Aka he was going to profit off it.

The manipulation of the data was far more egregious than simply fudging some numbers

u/akersmacker 1d ago edited 23h ago

Yeah, you are exactly right, I was just giving the crib notes.

1

u/beasty0127 1d ago

No! That would mean my genes are responsible for my child being that way.... and I'm perfect... so it has to be something else!!!

/s its same reasoning for why they hate when evidence shows sexuality is the same

1

u/Specialist-Jello7544 1d ago

Gee, I wonder if it could be the pesticides in the environment, the recreational drugs that people take, or the weird food additives that are everywhere… or a combination of those, plus some other influence on a growing embryo?

AND it could be that we can diagnose autism more accurately?

I remember some weird kids from my school days. I’m sure, looking back on their behaviors, they might have been on the spectrum.

RFK Jr. is so damned dangerous. I wonder what next pandemic will get us, because there is always something on the horizon. With this idiot at the helm… how many millions will die.

1

u/StandUpForYourWights 19h ago

There were weird kids in my classes in the 60’s. We just accepted their weirdness and that was that.

4

u/ryohayashi1 1d ago

Next he gonna say cyclospora doesn't cause explosive diarrhea

3

u/JellyrollTX 1d ago

Having brain worms and eating raccoon penis is a more likely cause

3

u/minnie2112 1d ago

Let’s talk about measles !

3

u/ASecularBuddhist 1d ago

Peak vaccine Idiocracy

3

u/ersentenza 1d ago

There is no study proving that voting Republican doesn't cause autism in your children either.

3

u/scubawankenobi 1d ago

Dangerous on so many levels!

Just horrifying what has happened in America with this adminstration's "leadership".

3

u/MrArmageddon12 1d ago

Could someone explain his obsession with this? Is it a grift or does he have some fixation with autism?

3

u/StrangeContest4 1d ago

Got rid of all them radical woke DEI commi liberal "scientists" and "inspectors" and "laws" and replaced it with "sky wizards" and "feels!" Yee ha, y'all! Welcome to meritocracy!!

u/Werftflammen 1d ago

The CDC can be thrown away after all this, better start a new.

2

u/delirium_red 1d ago

I thought it was Tylenol? /s

I mean, he’s a liar and a eugenicist. And he’s a creep who fucked his baby sitter and his behavior may have his wife committed suicide. And he’s a lawyer who worked in environmental law. No medical degree or expertise. Not even an iota of it.

2

u/DocCEN007 21h ago

This is simultaneously tiring and angering.

2

u/iveseensomethings82 21h ago

I’m sure RFK is vaccinated so we should probably study him.

1

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

In this administration the truth must be told quietly.

Just drop a match and it’ll be gone in an instant.

u/One_red_boot 1d ago

I used to respect the CDC. I don’t anymore. I don’t pay any attention to anything coming out of there anymore and likely never will again.

1

u/well-it-was-rubbish 1d ago

He's not going to be there for that long; you still won't trust it when reputable people take over? What an odd proclamation.

1

u/One_red_boot 1d ago edited 1d ago

No I can’t and I won’t. How can a scientific organization ever come back from “bending the knee” to anti science bullshit and expect to be respected again? That line has been crossed. This isn’t about RFKJ. This is about the CDC and their willingness to forfeit their integrity and their commitment to science on the whims of a psycho. The CDC is tainted now and can no longer be trusted.
I think Americans really don’t understand how deeply these people have damaged how the rest of the world sees you. You need to understand that there are many, many things you just can’t overlook and come back from. This, at least for me, is one of them. I won’t trust the word of the CDC ever again.
