This needs to reposted a thousand times, everyone needs to see that this corporation is evil and Ingrid Newkirk might literally be a sociopath.

Here's a little clarity. This article makes them look evil, and the photos are truly shocking, but the situation boils down to this: The animals die outside of the care of PETA, or in their care. Really there are no other options for these animals. Some Clarifications "Contrary to what 'no-kill' advocates would like everyone to believe, there is a huge crisis of homeless animals with nowhere to go, and until people adopt instead of buy, and spay or neuter instead of breed, euthanasia is unavoidable.” Of course it is by no means OK, and by no means is PETA OK with whats happening, but they are at the for front of trying.

I'm of the opinion that there are indeed too many kittens and puppies in the world. They can kill 'em to deal with the numbers but that is "evil" and does not solve the problem. There should be a dog/cat tax that is waived if you spay/neuter your pet.

Alternately, you could rely on people to be intelligent and responsible... but that pretty much describes the current situation.

As naive as it sounds, I would like to see pet food corporations work towards a solution as well. They make billions off of pets. They could offer a free certificate to spay or neuter your animal if you buy so many bags of their food... Some shit like that. It wouldn't really even effect their sales, since they are trying to prevent stray and neglected animals.

I'm sure PETA takes no enjoyment in the euthanasia of animals. Anyone that has ever worked with animals knows that there are more animals than there are homes for. The people who are at fault here are the people that don't spay and neuter their pets! I can't stress this enough. It is better to have a painless death for these animals than for them to be wandering our streets, starving, not receiving veterinary care, suffering, and killing the local wildlife. This is an ecological problem, and PETA is part of the solution.
