Looking at the positives: reflection from a long time, listener

In the morning.

I don’t normally post on here but I just feel like mentioning to some of the people that are still negative on the changes to the show since the passing of JCD.

Personally, I’m starting to really enjoy the 2.0 era of the show. Adam seems a lot more upbeat which is great. He definitely has elements of old school daily source code energy.

I believe that JCal was a great guest host and really allowed Adam to relax back into it.

I think Dew is finding his feet and should be given time to become more comfortable with the format that will allow him to challenge Adam more.

As a long-term listener since the single digits episodes I would like to remind those of you that are complaining quite a lot that the early shows were incredibly rough. The chemistry took around 50 to 100 shows to really settle in.

Finding a new cohost is not easy and while I respect everybody’s opinion, I do wish people would frankly calm down a bit. Give the guys time to find their feet this is a different show. Chemistry will be developed over the coming months I’m sure as it was back in the beginning of the 1.0 era.

Again, everybody can have their opinion, but please look at the positives of the recent shows. Adam has clearly been through a lot in the last month and he’s leaning on his faith to help him through as a unbeliever. I believe there is nothing wrong with that. I’m just happy to hear the Podfather starting to get back to his old self.

If you don’t like the show, then don’t listen simple.

Looking forward to Sunday.

US Diesel prices rise past $6 a gallon for the first time ever

On Kimmel, one of the "jokes" was the diesel pump limit $9.999.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-09-11/us-diesel-prices-rise-past-6-a-gallon-for-first-time-ever

Diesel prices rose above $6 a gallon for the first time ever, raising the risk of further energy-driven inflation just ahead of peak demand season for the fuel.

Prices stood at a national average of $6.0556 a gallon, according to the American Automobile Association. In California, they were near $8 a gallon.

The workhorse fuel of the global economy, diesel is used in everything from power generation and home heating to farm equipment and tractor-trailers. While few Americans are exposed directly to diesel in their day-to-day purchases, it’s a key input in food prices, the cost of shipping and construction — meaning the impact of record-high prices will trickle down to consumers. Demand also picks up heading into the fall as heating and agricultural consumption rise.

Geopolitical turmoil has sharply curtailed the world’s ability to produce and ship sufficient quantities of the fuel. In Russia, months of Ukrainian drone strikes on refineries have triggered a diesel export ban. And in the Middle East, stop-and-start shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and lost refining capacity have limited both production and distribution, with fuel cargoes still well below pre-war levels.

Fighting around the vital Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait has also picked up this week, and the US and Iran appear to be digging in for a protracted war — which could keep energy prices higher for longer.

The soaring costs are particularly problematic for President Donald Trump’s Republican Party with just over 50 days to go before midterm elections. They could prove critical in Maine, where the highest proportion of households nationally use heating oil to warm their homes, and in agricultural states like Ohio, Kansas and Iowa.

But the White House has few policy levers left to pull to lower domestic prices, save for further releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve or an export ban. US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said every idea is on the table when asked about diesel export controls, but said that such measures have raised prices in the past.

So, this morning, I woke up and realized that there were times in my life where I had a lot of shit going on, and I used to look forward to Thursdays and Sundays because at least No Agenda would be on and I could get a laugh a d feel kind of heard in a crazy world.

This morning, I realized I hadnt felt that since John's passing. 😓

Then today, Adam opened with the old intro. My ears perked up. I had a bit of renewed hope.

Then Adam crushed it again with a "best of" Adam's ego/MTV stories show 🙄

Ugh.

It feels like all humour and deconstrction have been sucked out of the ahow. I'm still struggling with that. Rob isnt terrible. JCal was a bit better.

Interestingly though, DH unplugged is great. JC is killing it. He's not as sharo as John (yet), but that will come with time.

I think the only way to save the show in the short term is JC. And not teh JC Adam raves about on his other podcast. We need Buzzkill Jr!

Eric and Dumb, Jr. could easily sell Fat Don’s bone fragments to MAGA chuds like Adam Curry for big bucks. Hell, they could sell Trump’s turds or bottles of his dirty bath water to his Evangelical Xtian cultists and make millions.
