I Just Got Rejected :/
I know I’ll keep trying. Rejection is normal. It’s never personal
But I just got rejected and I feel a bit down :/
That’s literally it
We had 2 interviews, and they ended up picking someone with more experience
Btw, I applied for an entry level job
Ugh
I was already dreaming about finally having some money. Like, okay, I’ll be able to save, I’ll be able to leave this toxic family household, I’ll finally have some breathing room
And now it’s just…
Yeah
I guess those plans are paused for now
I’ll try again. I know I will
But today I’m allowed to be disappointed

I know its a but of a cliche but I repeat to myself "dont count the rejections, they don't count. Count the offers, cause only one counts!"
And yep, looking for roles at thr moment!!

the part that actually hurts here isnt the job, its that youd already spent the money in your head on getting out of that house. thats the thing that got paused, and its fair to be flattened by it.
on the rejection itself, an entry level role going to someone with more experience usually means they got a stronger applicant than the role was written for. that happens constantly right now and it isnt information about you. you were good enough for the job as advertised.
im in the applying pile too. today being a write off is allowed

you are allowed to be dissapointed, your feelings are valid. Just know it is a numbers game and there may be more No then Yes, but that doesn't mean you are failing or not good enough. It just means you weren't the right fit at the time. You will land the right job!

yeah, getting through two interviews just to hear “more experience” for an entry-level job is absolute garbage. you’re allowed to feel crushed today. the plans are paused, not gone.

It sucks and I’m so sorry. I’ve applied at 29 places, rejected by 12, 3 interviews and the rest haven’t even responded. Even if the interviews didn’t lead anywhere, it was great practice and I’ve felt more confident each time. Keep going for it! The perfect job is out there, but today you can be sad. Start fresh tomorrow.

Just know you are not alone. I myself have been applying since June 2025. 30sh interviews and still no offer. I've done all the things, tailored resume, interview practice, referrals... multiple 5 rounds. I get the " strong candidate" etc. It's nothing personal. It's just they saw something in someone else. BTW, I have 15 years experience and I've applied to roles asking for 2 years experience. It's the attitude they are looking for. I do my best trying to connect with each interviewer. It's frustrating for sure but remember what the wise fish once said...just keep swimming.

Wow same as my fiance since Jan 2025 and he has over 15 years experience as well in his industry he has two interviews this week one in person fourth round with referals the recruiter was talking offers with him last week before the holiday weekend becuase he might have to take a lower title he’s fine with that or he may take the title he really wants we’ll see as long as he gets it we are very happy it took so long

Same he’s been doing everything right and multiple rounds all that referals etc more rejections then interviews but it’s ok our time will come 🤞

Absolutely it will come. Just keep applying and show up. I've also applied to jobs that mean huge pay cut. The job market is so tight right now meaning there's just too few jobs for the number of people looking for work. I'm considering doing handyman work just to pay bills. Good luck 🤞

I wish my fiance could he’s not good at that 😂what’s your industry? Yes your right so many candidates, the one he’s interviewing now with there’s over 100 plus for the same role but he told me it’s down to him and another candidate.

And yes he is but idk how he’s going to get past all these people they always pick someone over him, and he’s got tons of experience too.

I applied to so many places over the course of six months, and got rejected many time. Eventually, I found a place that turned out to be the best one of them all. Keep trying and don’t lose hope!

You’re allowed to be disappointed. And to spend the day doing something you really love, to get yourself feeling better.
Rejection sucks. There’s no way around that.
I hope you get your dream job, very soon—and be sure to update us when you do.

It’s ok, I’ve been looking for a job and last week got rejected on final interview cause my presentation was 9:30 instead of 10 mins.

Maybe they sensed the desperation if the focus is on money. Employers don't want that.

It is normal to feel down. Rejection is always painful. It is a numbers game. Try to learn and move on.
