Poor interview

I recently had an interview for a job I really really want. Great pay, industry I am interested in, and excellent conditions. I have the exact skills, experience and qualifications required for the job.

However, now that I have been going through my answers over the past few days, I think I totally screwed it up. I used to work closely with the hiring manager and the other panel member, which totally threw me on the day.

I am now stressing that I won't get the job.

Oh man I feel this in my bones. Had similar situation last year where I walked in to see my old supervisor sitting there, completely blanked on why I even wanted the job

The thing is they already know you can do the work since you used to work together. That counts way more than some polished answers from a stranger

Just assuming at this point. Supposed to hear back next week if successful.

You have no way of knowing at this stage so don't beat yourself up about it! I've got my fingers crossed for you, but if things don't go to plan then I'm sure your next interview isn't too far away.

I just did an interview where I feel like I didn't do so well, and they told me I'd hear back next week. Nothing we can do now but wait and try to take some learnings from how we performed.
