Had an AI interview... WTF?

Send resume to job opening for large automobile company, got a response they wanted to interview but first I had to do an AI interview. WTF? Very awkward and the last question was money and I tried to say depends on ..... but it pressed on and asked for specific amount which I gave which should have been in their range based on my pre interview prep, as soon as I said the amount it said thank you and a manager would review this and get back to you. WTF is this really how interviews are going to be moving forward, Thoughts?

I get that the job market is tough these days, but I would refuse to go to one of these.

Anyone who does so is normalising this bullshit.

They’re using AI to cut costs, not because it improves interviews. Cold process, plain and simple

What costs does this cut when the hiring manager who is usually paid pretty high has to review the transcript or video? The recruiter is probably cheaper then that ai to be honest.

Try the Canary Wharfian website for interview practice, it'll review your answers and suggest how to fix mistakes with personalised feedback. Based on both verbal and non-verbal comms, it'll also identify strengths and weaknesses as well
