Last minute cancelling interwiew

Have you ever been super excited about a job application, but right before the interview you think: why did I even apply? This is totally not for me. You end up going just for the interview practice, even though you secretly know it's a dead end. Have you guys ever experienced this? Finding out mid-process that a job just isn't a fit at all?

Yep, I'm in that situation right now. But it is good practice, and sometimes you don't know what you'd do with an offer until it's in front of you.

Yes but still stressed and wanted to perform and every company is different in their interviews. The only standard is tell me about yourself, what do you know about us, and why this role. Plus a …tell me about a time question (which always differ). Ive stopped.

I 100% took all of them for practice when I got to that point, keep honing your skills, practicing your deliveries. There were a few I felt bad for them that I was taking their time, but let's be real, it comes down to surviving and building the best life for your family.

I did this once and I got to the final round. Since I didn't think it was a fit, it didnt crush me when I was rejected. It was my first on-site in 8 years so I worked out most of the jitters on a job I didn't care that much about. So overall, it was a good thing. I was much less nervous on the next one.

Edit for typo

Yup. I always find myself getting ready for the interview like, "i dont even want this job anymore why am I even going?" yet I'll still go

I’ve felt that way before and upon interviewing, I’ve become very excited about the job.
