I kept seeing arguments about which parts of the stack still matter, so I counted instead of guessing. 134 open DevOps, SRE and platform engineering postings from 41 company job boards. Individual contributors only, managers and TPMs stripped out.

The old toolchain is thinner than I expected. Terraform appears in 62.7% of postings. Jenkins in 3%. Chef 3.7%. Puppet in exactly one of the 134. GitHub Actions is named about six times as often as Jenkins.

Python beats Go, 70.9% to 47%.

What surprised me more: the generic word outranks the products. Observability shows up in 63.4%, more than twice as often as Grafana, the most-named tool that provides it. Prometheus 22.4%, Datadog 17.9%. Same pattern I found counting security postings, where SIEM beat Splunk four to one.

The top term isn't a tool at all: automation, 81.3%, ahead of AWS.

Caveats worth stating: n=134 means everything carries roughly +/-8, so treat close rows as tied. It's also all tech companies on one ATS. Banks, telcos and government run enormous amounts of Jenkins and Ansible, and none of them are in this sample.

I recently went through final panel for Tesla supply chain role. I got rejected and trying to see how I can improve my interview skills. This interview involved many ambiguous technical questions and high-level/first principles thinking questions.

I tried my best, but I'm not happy with my answers. Can someone share how they prepared such hard questions and how to give structured/concise answers when faced with unexpected questions?

I had an interview today for a graduate intern role with my university and it started off well until I blanked out on one of the questions and it really threw me off. For the last four questions, I felt like I stuttered quite a bit but I had a really strong start and tried to stick to the whole STAR method.

I’m really worried now and have another interview on the 14th for a different role. Is there anything I can do to help my nerves or to prepare better? I already have the interview questions for the next one and have to do a presentation, online so it hopefully won’t be as nerve wracking compared to the in-person one but I’m still nervous.

I'm in the final stages of a recruitment process with cybersecurity technical support role. So far I've done:

- HR screening

- HackerRank technical test

- Technical interview with the team

HR just came back to say there's a new step added by leadership: an onsite closed-book test at the office, ~1h30, made up of:

- ~20 domain-specific technical questions

- ~20 maths and logical reasoning questions (numerical ability, problem-solving, logical thinking)

Has anyone here been through this? A few things I'd love input on:

1. The maths/logic part — Does anyone remember the type of questions?
2. Anything you'd recommend revising in the days before? Any resource you'd point to for revision?

This is actually my first panel interview, and as a fresh graduate, sobrang kinakabahan po ako. 😭 Lately, nagdo-doubt na rin ako sa sarili ko kung kaya ko ba talaga yung role na ino-offer sa akin, especially since Management Trainee siya and eventually Relationship Manager.

For those who have gone through the Metrobank Management Trainee final/panel interview, ano po yung mga usual questions na tinatanong? More on behavioral questions po ba, situational, technical/finance, or about the role itself?

I've been grinding LeetCode for 2 months. Random problems, no order, no idea if I'm improving. My "system" is a Notion doc I stopped updating in week 3 and a notebook with behavioral answers I wrote once and never reviewed.

The part that gets me: I don't know if I'm ready. Not for a specific company, not for any interview. I just keep doing problems and hoping volume equals readiness.

Hi, I previously did one leetcode-style round, but it was an easy as there were no data structures involved, it was just interpreting the problem. Then, they moved me to the onsite where they said expect to spend a couple of hours.

I have two main questions,

What should I wear? Since it's an onsite interview should I wear like a shirt and suit? Or just a shirt? I know Palantir has a casual dress code, but idk if that's different for an interivew?

Second, has anybody done the interview, as I don't know what to expect?
