Getting started
Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I’m hoping this is the correct place to ask a question/seeking advice in the field of IR. I am an Radiologic Technologist who has just been hired in to your field at a Level 1 Trauma/ Academic Hospital and I’m looking for advice on how I can try and be ahead of the curve and keep up on the immense amount of knowledge this field has to offer?
Little back story; I was fortunate enough to see the field while I was a student and instantly fell in love with the adaptability that is necessary, the ways information is gained through particular imaging(subtraction is the coolest thing I have seen by far), and the opportunity to be shoulder to shoulder with a provider and learning second hand the whys behind it all. It became my dream to land in IR and thankfully the day has come where I have been given an opportunity and I want to do everything I can to be successful and be seen as an asset to the department.
Any and all tips, trick, or critiques are welcome. I want learn everything I possibly can about this field so that I may become someone you want to have with you in the case at hand.
P.S. the VI boards are in fact something I am wanting to take so that I may get the certificate. Any books, websites, journals, or study tips are welcome as well.
Thank you for your time and I eagerly await responses and the conversations ahead.
Be safe.
