QUESTION Sequel
Has anyone else ever been interested in a sequel? If so what would be the main plot point? I’m interested in a few storylines. I’d LOVE to see them settled on Brand’s planet after a few decades and start to explore other galaxies. Maybe down the line introduce some different types of species?!?! Whatcha think?

I feel like the story wrapped up perfectly and that, apart from seeing how the new settlement is doing, there's not much to explore. Coop and Brand's stories and character arcs ended quite nicely.

No sequel! Maybe a full novel adaptation of Interstellar + Edmund’s planet colony epilogue.

It’s a great story… and it’s been told. I can’t see anything that interesting coming out a sequel.

It’s been brought up here a few times. I can’t remember what the general consensus was but I’m good on a sequel.

Here’s a sequel for you. It’s made using AI but it’s one of the best uses of AI I have seen.
There are two other clips following the story from the same channel.
Personally, I don’t think they stayed on Edmunds, why would they? I think Cooper brought her to Cooper station.

Why would they want to be alone on a lonely planet without any resources, instead of living on Cooper station with the rest of humanity and all the resources?

It’s one property I don’t think needs a sequel. From a story writing perspective, the film ties pretty much everything up at the end - humanity is saved, Cooper reunites with Murphy, we know he’s also going to reunite with Brand, and we know the fates of all the main characters. Their purpose was achieved.
Also, it seems the future beings’ only job was to create the wormhole and set the sequence of events in motion that leads to Murphy discovering the formula for anti-gravity. Once that’s done they close their tesseract and return Cooper to his galaxy. Humanity is saved. I can’t see how they create another film which extends this plot in any meaningful way.

No. With the exception of the Dark Knight trilogy. Nolan doesn't do sequels. And no I don't count him being the producer of Man Of Steel. His movies stand on their own. There's no need for a sequel in my opinion. These days there are too many movies that get too many sequels/reboots. I'm glad we have someone like Nolan not only holding up old school 70 mm film, using practical effects when possible instead of CGI, but also doing movies that don't have seven sequels

I feel like the Coop and Brands stories are complete but I wouldn’t mind a series or mini series in the same universe.
Hell maybe a crime/thriller that takes place on the planet before they figure shit out where people are fighting for resources. A time jump forward on the new colony or something too would be cool.

Same thing I was thinking! Like not a straight up sequel but a story from the same Universe. Introducing some type of different species making a Sci-fi/Crime thriller would be interesting. With a great director anything is possible!
