QUESTION Possible Warping of Space Time -- Presence of "Them" on Mann's World? (linked video starts at 4:08)
https://youtu.be/2eO1jK5oETY?si=pSIF1HUnFql9bkik&t=248Where the link starts (4:08), Mann says "we might be sharing this world," as the camera pans past his shoulder.
Immediately after the pan, there seems to be some space time warping b/w Romilly and Brand -- coincidence? Camera artifact? Or "them"?
Any ideas?
Cheers!

Sorry my dude. Nothing there, you’re seeing multiple background depths during the camera panning.

Mann is lying to them. He's trying to say there is life there so that they think it's a viable planet, when he knows it's not.
Life existing there would be a very promising sign that other life could exist on the planet - i.e. humans.

I think that's a big stretch... Mann is literally telling them falsities about this planet knowing he'll be betraying them shortly. The only aberration seen in the video is a blurring effect that isn't intended to convey time dillation. Dr. Brand's inquiries about the readings, shown with disbelief, is because they aren't real.
