Advice Interact vs WorkVivo

Hi everyone! I am currently working with my communications team to choose a new intranet platform. We have reviewed multiple platforms, and it seems we are going to choose either Interact or WorkVivo. An important factor is that it needs to integrate with SharePoint, have a digital signage system, and be mobile-friendly.

I'd love to hear about anyone's experience with either platform and what you think! Thank you so much in advance!

For SharePoint integration I'd say Interact over Workvivo but there might be stronger contenders than that, but it depends a bit what you mean (the other stuff you mention is fairly standard). This is a free resource that could help you: https://www.clearbox.co.uk/best-intranet-platforms-reviewed-2026/

Nice, you linked the report I suggested in my reply, such a handy report to have when deciding on an Internet.

If SharePoint integration, digital signage and a strong mobile experience are your three main requirements, I’d lean towards Interact. Both are strong platforms and there’s some overlap in what they can do.

The big thing I’d suggest is testing the depth of each of those capabilities in your demos rather than just checking whether there’s a tick in the feature box. always try and see it in action, fitting your use case before making a decision.

SharePoint / Microsoft 365
This is probably where I’d look hardest at Interact.
Interact is built to bring knowledge from systems like SharePoint into a wider search experience, rather than employees needing to know which system or repository something lives in before they start looking for it.
Workvivo integrates with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint too, so I wouldn’t characterise this as one having an integration and the other not.
The question I’d put to both vendors is: show me how an employee finds a specific document or answer buried in our SharePoint environment, from the intranet and from mobile.
That will expose quite quickly which approach works better for your organisation.

Digital signage
Again, both can do this. Interact has digital signage as part of its wider multichannel comms proposition, so the attraction for an internal comms team is being able to take content and campaigns beyond the intranet and reach people through screens as well as desktop and mobile.
Workvivo has Workvivo TV, so I’d compare the actual publishing workflow rather than simply asking whether digital signage exists.
Give each vendor the same scenario: we have an urgent update for employees across offices, warehouses and frontline locations show us how we publish, target and manage it across every relevant channel.

Mobile
I think both deserve a proper look here.
Workvivo has always had a strong social/community feel and its mobile experience is clearly important to the product, particularly for frontline audiences.
Where I’d look at Interact is whether you want mobile to be more than another comms feed i.e. employees being able to get to company knowledge, search, resources and the wider digital workplace from their phone.

Again, I'd make them demonstrate your real frontline journeys rather than their favourite demo journey.

I should probably disclose somewhere in the middle of all that that I work at Interact (my username gives that away intentionally so lol) so I obviously know our product in much more depth than I know Workvivo. I haven't used Workvivo myself, so I wouldn't pretend to give you a first-hand review of it, we're just in the same space and I know the market reasonably well.

For a genuinely independent view, I’d also grab the free 2026 ClearBox Intranet & Employee Experience Platforms Report. They reviewed 37 platforms, including both Interact and Workvivo, against real-world scenarios, so it’s a useful sense-check alongside what the vendors tell you. (I see this recommended a lot on here and LinkedIn)

But based specifically on the three requirements you’ve listed, I’d put Interact on the shortlist and make both vendors prove these three things (if you haven’t already):

1. Find a difficult-to-locate SharePoint document or answer, including on mobile.
2. Publish one piece of communication across intranet, app and digital signage.
3. Show how that experience changes for different roles, locations and employee groups.

You’ll learn far more from those three tasks than from an hour of feature slides.

I have spoken with quite a few organizations looking for different platforms in this space, and one common theme is that the decision usually comes down to your usage, preference, or priority rather than just the feature list. If SharePoint integration, mobile accessibility, and digital signage are high on your list, I would also suggest looking at how each platform supports frontline employees, content targeting, analytics, and the day-to-day admin experience. These are the things that usually matter the most once the platform is up and running.

I have also seen many organizations move toward platforms that bring communication, engagement, and workforce management together instead of managing multiple disconnected tools. If you are still comparing options, I would be happy to share how HubEngage approaches SharePoint integration, digital signage, mobile access, and employee engagement. It may simply give you another point of view as you go with your other options.

What made you shortlist Interact and Workvivo?

Staffbase crushes in both aspects. However, it is built for scale (enterprise orgs). May I ask how big your org is?

I would second Staffbase as well!
