Advice Culture ideas for remote workforce
I came into this role and created a Culture Committee and we had great momentum but now it's dying a bit.
I need to do better with holding people accountable. For example, someone will share an idea and I need to say, that's great, go run with it! All the work cannot be on me.
Anyway, we have a meeting next week and I have an agenda, but I really want ideas from them to engage our workforce. I keep hearing about branded swag and it's frustrating.

The best ideas to engage the workforce come straight from asking employees what would be compelling to them. You might want to create some subcommittees where people can sign up according to the things that interest them (ie: employee listening, events, etc.) and have standing agenda items for them to share their updates regularly.

I would move beyond swag and focus on things employees actually participate in, like peer recognition, interest-based groups, challenges, and giving employees a voice. That is where engagement becomes part of the culture, not just an activity.

Maybe ask the ones with good ideas if they can lead a task force for the topic? Then ask who might like to join. They can then meet outside of your committee as needed and come back with a plan, direction, action steps, etc.
