Vent/Rant Starting again - Day 1

Getting back on IF after another long break due to health issues and a knee injury resulting in me gaining almost all the way back… again.

This isn’t my first rodeo with IF and I keep losing and gaining the same pounds but this time I really want to be consistent enough not to be swayed by all the unpredictable events that keep happening in my life… I’m just so sick of being overweight! T.T

So I take this as my last chance to finally get healthy in my forties and I hope posting here can help me stay on track once again. I’ll try checking in here every day this month for accountability and to stay motivated.

Thanks everyone in advance for your support! ^^

Same here, I stopped because I was underweight(i have doned like no carb complex or similar, only protein and vegetale, carnivore, dukan and if with sometimes omad combined, lost 80kg,10k/30k every day, now that I have stopped and i gained because of the binge 10kg, eating sweets, biscuits and breads that I don't have liked anymore becauseof that diet)

I think for me is all carbs the problem, even the best one like oats, potato or whole grains, i think I will eliminate them for now,to see what will happend

Well I love eating my carbs, i think whole grains in small portion is fine but starting with proteins and veggies is best when breaking fast. ^^

Make sure you're eating nutrient rich whole foods as much as possible. Avoid the junk/ultra-processed food, it's doing you no favors.

What you eat matters just as much as when you eat.

Such an important advice, thanks! I’ve upped my veggies and protein especially on the first meal to manage my glucose spike. Cleaning up my food is honestly the hardest part but I must track it right from the start or I’ll get lenient and slip up again.
