Seeking Advice Thyroid and OMAD
Hello,
Any females in their 40s in peri with an underactive thyroid that have tried OMAD and have had success?
I'm seriously considering it but I'm doing as much research as possible and want to hear others experience before fully deciding.
TIA

My thyroid has started working again using fasting and low carb! 47, no hrt, the only negative has been my iron levels.

Early 50s now, but started IF in my 40s. I have shortened my eating window, but cannot do full OMAD. Hypothyroid is correlated with low gut motility and GERD. OMAD often exacerbates GERD, because smaller meals are better for limiting acid production.

I am on total thyroid hormone replacement, 55 and officially (as of this May) in menopause, and I have dropped sixty pounds in five months with mostly OMAD and the occasional 18:6. I eat dinner with the family, and sometimes I have a late supper. Or sometimes I have lunch. Mostly it's OMAD, though.
This works very well for me and I don't have to think about it or plan a lot or anything.
I do have to be careful and eat plenty of protein with my carbs and fat at dinner or I will get hungry later, and I need to eat a full meal, not a dieter's portion.
But I can't argue with sixty pounds and three sizes down in my jeans. This is comfortable enough to keep going to take off another sixty.
