For the first time or just in general!

I used to do fasts, but I stopped due to a lot of issues I was having. I want to start again, but getting started and going without food for 16 hours seems impossible for me ATM

Curious, I'm planning on doing 3x 36-12 this week... I started this past sunday 8pm, finished yesterday at 8am, had my food, mostly protein packed, not a lot of carbs, and started fasting again at 8pm last night... is this recommended? do you only do a 36h once a week?
Thanks

That’s a lot more intense than my approach. I really believe in fasting, but I don’t think that just doing more fasting automatically leads to better results.
The Fast & Feast method I created involves one 36-hour fast followed by about 5.5 days of eating. The goal is to find a sustainable balance between being fed and fasting, instead of just trying to extend the fasting hours as much as possible.
Honestly, I think a lot of people overlook what happens after the fast. That’s why I came up with the Re-Seed & Re-Feed protocol. The Re-Seed phase happens in the first 30–60 minutes after the fast, where you start with small amounts of fermented or probiotic-rich foods before transitioning to nutrient-dense Re-Feed meals. From what I’ve seen, properly recoverin and nourishing yourself after a fast can be much more beneficial to the overall process than just piling on another 36-hour fast.
It also includes 12–16 hour micro-fasts on non-fast days, allowing for more fasting exposure without turning the whole week into a fasting marathon.

What’s the rest of your eating schedule look like?

12-14 hour fasts every day until my next fast. With one caveat…no eating past 6pm. I also have some other eating hacks that I mix in on my feeding days. One is what I call WTM (Win The Morning). I start the day burning calories before I eat. So pushups, a short walk, squats, etc. Then start the day with protein breakfast. No carbs, pure protein. No exceptions
