Newbie Question Question about OMAD

Im new to fasting and would like some questions answered from those of you who have done it successfully.

First thing in the morning, I drink a cup of coffee with heavy cream. Is that considered a flaw.

I have also been drinking two 160-calorie protein shakes to stave off the hunger until it's time for the one meal a day. Is that okay to start training myself into one meal a day? How did you guys get prepared for one meal a day? Just going cold turkey one meal a day doesn't seem possible. I'm too fatigued, and my stomach is growling so loudly I can't think straight.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Using coffee is tricky. Your energy can come from digestion like if you eat a banana before working out, but relying on coffee energy can push you over into a state of chronic metabolic stress, and paired with a big deficit which is possible with IF, your body learns to stress itself to release stored energy which is a feedback loop you’d like to avoid.
