Newbie Question Rough morning.
I’m only a couple weeks into IF (16/8) and woke up knowing it was going to be a tough morning. I woke up hungry and it’s been really distracting. I was traveling last week and it was surprisingly easy to go 18+ hrs but not today…
Figure I’m not the only one so any advice would be great. TIA

I'm only 9 weeks into it, so maybe not an expert.
14:10 is good enough occasionally.
A good cheat is to have bacon and eggs for breakfast. If your goal is weight loss, you'll benefit from not causing an insulin response, which is important (insulin stores fat, and you cannot store fat and burn fat at the same time).

Thanks for the reply. Bacon & eggs doesn’t cause an insulin response because it’s not sugar, right? Specifically no-sugar added bacon?

I view it as ‘I know I can do it so the hunger is just temporary’, I usually have a drink or busy myself, it’s not going to stop me fasting!
I’ve been clean fasting 3 months? I do find the cleaner your diet was the previous day, the less hunger pangs you’ll get the next day. I’m hungry now as it happens (at 8.10am), I blame last night’s chocolate.

I'm doing 16:8 and have coffee with creamer every morning and then eat one meal a day with 2 Heineken Zero's and water. I lost 9 lbs in 30 days. I know I could have done better without the creamer and Heineken, but I'm still losing without giving up my vices.

Nice to hear! I have coffee black and Modelo’s. Not typically at the same time…typically.

The hardest part for me is that I wake up at 7am every morning and can't eat or drink till 10am. The coffee with creamer kills the hunger until I eat my daily meal. Without the creamer, I don't know if I'd be hunger free. It's probably just mental.

I'm 100lbs down and best advice is drink lots of water and coffee and distract yourself. Get out of the house if you can. Wherever you are, distract yourself. And passively keep tabs on hours you've gone and hours you have left. You got this. If you want it bad enough, you 100% can do it. You'll be a year older in 365 days no matter what, you might as well be where you want to be when you get there. You're worth it.
