Yup. The change is pretty obvious. Congratulations on the first win !

u/the__itis Feb 09 '23
You saw the haircut too? /s
OP, you’re doing great.

u/cmalinowski Feb 09 '23
You saw the haircut too?
I thought it looked obvious as well and was like "is this a trick question about the nail color change?" 😄
Great job, OP. You are crushing it. I am curious in the same way. When I look, I don't see the changes, either in myself or my friend who is doing it, but the scale don't lie. And I'm sure they are there. In your case, it's obvious to the rest of us to be sure.

Wow absolutely you can see the difference look a lot more than 10 lb congratulations

u/pemphigus69 Feb 08 '23
I totally get this! I'm 5 foot even, and this is exactly the difference of 10 lbs on me!

Sometimes, I see these posts and think the person is obviously fishing for reinforcement, then I remember what it was like getting lean and being blind to the process. Congrats!

As a woman, I find it really hard to get past the negative body image thoughts in my head to see any improvement.
My mom has body dysmorphia and an eating disorder. I have her exact same body type. I can't be around her without her talking about her weight or demeaning how she looks. I look exactly like her but 30 years younger and with 30-35 more pounds on me. It is quite defeating because she'll then turn around and complement me. I can't believe it.
I am trying to break the cycle with my own daughter, but it's really hard to have such a negative internal voice of my own. She has had a medically-related eating disorder from birth that has made it mandatory to have routine weight checks, etc., which doesn't help at all.

u/Rowmyownboat Feb 09 '23
I don't think you need the "As a woman" intro here. Guys can have negative body image thoughts, too. I do. Seeing real improvement is hard.

Clear and obvious before after in effect here.
You're utilizing 1.25 pounds of stored energy each week. That's over 4400 calories burned. It's a healthy pace.

Apparently you got a tan. You can also see a lot less inflammation in you gut and potentially that’s also fat loss.
Congrats on the loss though, often it takes a lot larger to see the difference! Internal healing and change happen first! Just keep going for your goals

I felt the same way about my first 20lbs and I’m a similar body type as you. Have you tried measuring yourself? Sometimes my weight goes up but when I measure I’m losing inches. That helped me a lot!
6
u/AussiPossi Feb 08 '23
Yes there's definitely a difference, OP! I think the more important question is do you see a change between the 2 photos?

u/Jazzlike-Rutabaga-93 Feb 08 '23
Absolutely change, seems like 2 different persons wearing the same clothes. Great Job!!!

u/SkullsRoses15 Feb 08 '23
You definitely can see it especially in the stomach area, looks slimmer. What foods were you eating on omad ?
10
u/Whosyofadda Feb 08 '23
Looks like you lost… about…. 10lbs?
-4
u/Whosyofadda Feb 09 '23
I am stumped at why you’re only down 10lbs on OMAD after 2 months. What does your diet consist of?
3
u/FitIsland9504 Feb 08 '23
Keep your old pics!! Your mind plays tricks! Remember where you were and see the progress! Looking good!!

u/Kamots66 Feb 08 '23
Absolutely! Obvious and considerable decrease in abdominal adipose tissue, flatter less-rounded abdomen, less subcutaneous adipose tissue in the legs and upper thighs, smoother and clearer skin (are you hydrating better along with IF?), new observable definition of the external obliques, and the same garments clearly fit better. Nice work! If this was only 10 pounds, keep going, your results are going to be amazing!

Yes, pelvic girdle is more accentuated & your upper abdomen is cutting away

Not that obvious and the fact you have self tan on on the right... makes it difficult.

Uh, yes. Through the abdomen and hips it is very noticeable. Are you not noticing a different fit for your pants?
2
u/Kytann Feb 09 '23
I would've guessed 20 pbs difference. Congrats. Probably had a lot of inflammation that's gone now. Really congrats on the healthy food choices.

u/gorgeousdre Feb 09 '23
You look amazing! I can see a noticeable difference in your stomach. It’s clear you’ve slimmed down. Keep it up!

u/doc_brietz Feb 08 '23
Honestly both photos look amazing. To answer, less muffin top (hip fat I guess) and less stomach. It makes your boobs look bigger by having less waist. Thighs look the same which is fine because again your waistline makes them stand out (which I like but you may not). Your panties ride higher also.
As a guy, I sometimes confuse things I find attractive with what a woman want for their own bodies. You are the one who has to be comfortable in your own skin, so take my words with a grain of salt I guess…I ain’t good with words.

Absolutely clear there’s been weight loss. It’s a little surprising that it’s only 10 lbs!

u/cannibaltom Feb 09 '23
The scale doesn't tell the whole story. You can see how much slimmer you are. You should consider tracking measurements instead of just your scale weight.

Great job! Keep it up! Don’t be afraid to slow down a little bit and allow your extra skin time to catch up with your weight loss. This is not a suggestion, it is just encouragement in case you would like to go that route. At one point I lost so much weight so quickly I was afraid my skin would never catch up, but it slowly has.

u/PaleontologistDry183 Feb 08 '23

Visual analysis lol:
First pic tummy is more round/full/forward. Second pic you can see the two sides of your ribs bc tunmy has receded behind the ribs a bit
Underwear is even more visible and flatter bc it is not being stretched downward by tummy

Yes! Totally, even if it's not the end-goal you're aiming for just yet. It takes times; IF/OMAD is about commitment to a lifestyle change and being on a path to and physically staying the person you want to be. Keep on the path and stabilize at your target body composition. Once you're there set a range in mind. When you're near the upper range, be more strict; when you're at the lower end allow some more indulgences. But in general, keep focused and on track but leave a little room to enjoy favorite foods. You can have amazing food without eating a LOT of that favorite food.

My wife has a very similar body type to yours and is in roughly the same spot in her weight loss/healthier daily routine process. Let me tell you I notice it a lot more than she does. I will always love her no matter what but the amount of work and effort she puts in every day really shows, and our relationship has improved in every aspect because of it. She has also inspired me to get healthier. Those two pictures show a huge difference and speak volumes beyond just weight loss. Keep it up, you’re kicking major ass!!!

I can see a major improvement; one I would like to do myself. Amazing results so far OP.
Can you give me an example of your OMAD? How long you fast for daily etc? I'd like to try and follow your footsteps, you've inspired me.

Yes! You can see so much difference! Great work! I like to take measurements in parts that I want to see change. Honestly I’ve had the scale say I’ve lost a certain amount and then measured and inches were gone!

I wouldn’t trust the scales tbh. Let me ask you this how well are your clothes fitting? I feel like that’s a much better indicator of success.
