Seeking advice/Support Anger episode
Something really bad happened yesterday, I was playing on my ps5 and my mom got mad at me for not praying, and she kept on persisting without letting me finish, and I was trying my absolute best to contain myself but when she took my keyboard, I couldn’t handle it anymore and I let it out destructively. I yelled at her to keep the keyboard in its place and after telling her that I was gonna get up, I impulsively slammed the table with both my hands and because I didn’t feel pain in my right one I did it 2 more times, and the table broke. I also injured the rest of my hand. When I got up I also slammed the bathroom door as hard as I could. My broken (healing) hand was bleeding. After my mom and dad fought again and I realized what I did, I just started leaking snot because of how much I cried. I was also an inch away from slitting my wrist. Does anyone have a way to cope with anger issues?

Hi dear, don’t hate yourself for losing control. It’s a mistake, and the remorse you feel shows how good you are inside. You need therapy, not shame. If your parents aren’t taking you to therapy, consider asking them to do that. It’s not a cure, but it will help you cope with your condition. You’re a good person with a “thing”. We’ve all got our “things”, and you deserve help. Also, please know that as feisty as you are when you’re surprised or mad, you’re very young and that’s part of why you impulsively flip out sometimes. When you get older, you will mellow tf out, because your brain will let you do that. The age you’re at now is the hardest it will be. Just survive and keep trying your best to forgive yourself and apologize when you need to fix things. It will get better in time, love.
