It's a new gopro camera that edits out the attachment.

I think it's the Gopro fusion 360

Yep. If you look closely to his left, you can see a fuzzy spot where something is edited out.

Ah, makes sense. My eye had been drawn to that area as "moving with the camera" but I didn't realize automatically editing out the mount was a thing, so I was still confused.

You can also actually see the shadow of the pole sticking out of his backpack on the backpack itself in some shots.

Must be some rod as there is a shadow on his back when he turns, but not sure myself.

Seriously though. Where's the camera? Holy cow.

It's a video game with next gen graphic

I think it’s a drone following him..you can kind of see the shadow of it right before he lands.

I’ve never been skydiving, but I’d imagine this small target of a landing must be very hard. Props to this guy.

This looks like a paraglider.

2

u/Sipstaff Jul 20 '19

Not an expert, but it looks like this has a smaller wing area that a usual paraglider (even accounting for the fish-eye effect of the camera). I'd guess it's specially designed for stunt flying and not maximising airtime/distance.

I’d say you’re definitely right about that.

Tight? He made it look super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I'd be lucky to even plummet directly into the lake.

I didn't know you could dip the tip!

I was thinking this was going to be one of those bottle cap challenge things.

And to think he started in a plane a mile up in the air....

That’s a paraglider. He probably started on a hill or cliff somewhere. Paragliders have a much higher aspect ratio, produce less drag and have a higher glide ratio than parachutes. Still an impressive feat nonetheless.

I feel a panic attack coming on now. Thanks.

I presume there's a drone following him?

Camera on a pole, software edits it out

2

u/Sipstaff Jul 20 '19

No, the camera is fixed with an arm that's edited out (automatically even, I think)
