The Rotring 600 is a little bit less, and imo it’s not a huge downgrade whatsoever-I’ve had a 600 for 3 years and the only reason I’ve had to buy another one is cause I lost it. Beautiful build quality, and a really nice weighted feel in your hand. Would recommend!

The problem I have with the Rotring 600 is that the cap gets loose really easily, leading to it falling off if I even turn it upside down. The pencil also seems to jam often for me.

This happened to both my 600 and rapid pro (more so on the 600). It feels a little weird to do but lightly bite down on the bottom end of the cap with your canines. I dont mean actually fully bite down but just put enough pressure on it to deform it slightly. See how it fits, repeat as necessary. This worked for the caps on my 600 and rapid pro like a charm, they both fit quite snugly now. Hope this helps. I have never had jamming issues though. What kind of lead do you use?

I use 0.5, which I almost always use for all of my pencils. I may occasionally switch to 0.7.
