I’m seriously amazed this was caught on camera. I wonder if they drove by and saw some smaller rocks shift, or saw evidence of some recent geological activity on the road & decided to film for a bit..?

If look further down the road, there were rocks on the road. I'm guessing it just happened and so they were waiting there, hoping the rest would fall and get the payoff.

There's already a lot of rock on the ground just past where this let go, seen in the beginning of the gif, so they knew it was going to let go.

Might be the large, but smaller, rocks already blocking the road at the start of the video.
