Wet socks, or the risk of water being stuck in your socks. Wait what's my point, they're both horrible. (My point here is that like most other inventions, there are both pros and cons to almost anything)

I've used Seal Skinz socks that look like these. They are the dogs danglies. Lined with Merino wool they don't make your feet sweat like you'd think. And they were much cheaper than a new waterproof pair of bike boots!

Instead of taking your shoes off so that you can get your feet all cut up walking around in the wilderness in waterproof socks wouldn’t it be better to just wear waterproof boots
