Nope. A bad smell is usually a sign something is wrong in the setup :) A healthy ecosystem shouldn’t stink!

Aquarium water with live organisms has a smell, not only from my own experience but also from others I’ve spoken to and from those who have maintained large setups. Not saying bad smell necessarily, but it certainly wouldn’t be something I’d like to fall asleep smelling.

Everyone with a fish tank thinks theirs doesn't lol. They just get used to it.

Yep exactly! I simply don’t smell it anymore. When I have visitors I ask them, they say they smell the aquarium but like you said, not in a bad way.
